Lantern Decorating Workshops

Come and decorate a lantern and be invited to the Hive's Starlight Walk and Trail event!

The Hive has partnered with Worcester BID and Worcester City Council to create and deliver the The Hive's Starlight Walk and Trail event on Saturday 25 November 2023. The invite-only event will start from The Hive at 2:45pm with a carol service and preview of The Hive's newly designed Christmas lanterns which are themed around literary classic The Nutcracker. After the carol service the children and parents who have decorated a lantern in The Hive will be invited to line the parade route which will run from The Hive, down the High Street and conclude at Cathedral Plaza in anticipation of the Worcester City Christmas Light Switch On. They will have prime viewing spots to see the beautiful illuminated lanterns as they are paraded through the city and bring joy to the whole community.

This promises to be an exciting, festive event which will get us all in the mood for the season!

We will be holding multiple lantern decorating workshops at The Hive on the dates below. Once you have decorated your lantern, you will receive an invite to attend the Starlight Walk and Trail event.

Booking is essential for the lantern workshops as spaces are limited - £1.50 per space.

This activity is suitable for children aged 5+.

After the parade, the Christmas lanterns will return to The Hive and be exhibited in the Atrium for the month of December 2023.
