The Hive to Host Magical Events this February

This February will mark the fifth anniversary of the highly attended Harry Potter Night at The Hive. The annual event has sent sparks flying since it started in 2014 with both young and old fans returning each year in fancy dress for spellbinding fun.

Janine Downes, Manager at The Hive, said: “The Harry Potter Night is always a fantastic evening and one of our most popular events. There is always a brilliant atmosphere with both adults and children dressing up in Harry Potter themed outfits.

“The magical ‘make and take’ craft sessions sold out within the first week of going on sale, but there are still some spaces for ‘Mad Science Potter Potions Workshops’ and there will be lots of hands-on activities to get involved with on the night.”

The Potter Potions Shows cost £3.50 per child and £4 per adult and have three time slots at 4.15pm, 5pm and 5.45pm.

During February half term, The Hive is hosting a number of entertaining events for families. Activities include a free coding session on Thursday 21 February, a meet the author workshop with games and spells, when Jayn E Winslade unveils her latest book ‘The Curse of Aggara’ on Tuesday 19 February.

Storytelling will take place every day at 11am and 2.45pm, as well as children’s theatre on Friday 22 February when The Hive welcomes back Rhubarb Theatre with their performance of The Boy Who Wanted to Fly, followed by a Children’s Theatre Workshop.
